This 15-minute Crème Fraîche Carbonara is the best "fake" carbonara out there. With bacon and parmesan cheese it's just as delicious as the original, but easier to make with  staple-friendly ingredients and a super simple process.

½ lb pasta ⅔ lb bacon 2 cups leeks 2 cups crème fraîche ½ cup pasta cooking water 1 cup shredded parmesan ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Place bacon in a cold pan and cook for 5 minutes, until it looks cooked

Add the leeks, and cook for 3 more minutes

Add crème fraîche together with a bit of water from the pasta

Mix well, then add shredded Parmesan cheese, salt & pepper. Simmer 2 minutes.

Add the cooked pasta, mix well, and serve!
