INGREDIENTS:

2 pork chops 3 garlic cloves ¼ tsp black pepper ½ tsp salt 3 Tbsp butter 15 fresh sprigs of thyme 6 white button mushrooms ½ cup red wine ½ cup water

Fry mushrooms in butter with garlic and thyme. Cook until the mushrooms have a nice color and are saturated with butter, then remove them from the pan.

Start with room temperature pork chops. Pat them dry, then rub with a garlic clove cut in half. Season with salt & pepper!

Add more butter to the pan and sear chops 1 minute per side.

Add back the mushrooms and thyme on top of the pork chops.

Pour in the wine.

Pour in the water.

Simmer 2 minutes

Flip the pork chops, and simmer for 2 more minutes. Then remove from the heat and cover with a lid or tin foil, and let sit for 5 minutes before serving.

Serve your pork chops with the mushrooms and red wine reduction from the pan. Add mashed potatoes for an even better meal!
