Spicy Turkish "salsa"!


This authentic Turkish Ezme (Acili Ezme) takes just 15 minutes to make and is super healthy loaded with veggies and not much else. It's a delicious spicy sauce, salad, dip and meze that you will want to have with everything. This recipe uses common ingredients you can find at your regular supermarket.

½ yellow onion 2 padrón peppers ½ red bell pepper ½ cucumber 5 tomatoes ½ tsp salt 1 tsp chili flakes 1.5 Tbsp olive oil

Placed chopped onion and peppers in a food processor.

Run the food processor for 15 seconds or until everything is well chopped into super small pieces.

Add chopped cucumber.

Run the food processor for 10 seconds.

Add tomatoes - peeled is best! - along with salt.

Add chili flakes & olive oil.

Run the food processor for 10 seconds, then taste test and adjust seasoning if needed. All done!

Serve with bread on its own or as part of a meze platter, or use as a sauce for fish, chicken, meat, kebabs or grilled veggies.
