Place the ingredients for the garlic butter in a shallow bowl and smash the butter while mixing it all together.
2 tablespoon salted butter, 1 garlic clove, ¼ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, ⅛ teaspoon fine table salt
Bring out the salmon filets and pat dry.
2 individual salmon filets
Top salmon with garlic butter and wrap in bacon. Place in an oven safe dish and squeeze over the lemon juice.
6 slices thin-cut bacon, 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Bake at 440°F (225°C) for 12-15 minutes, flipping the salmon halfway. Serve topped with the melted butter from the dish.
Notes
Use a meat thermometer. This is the best way to make sure the salmon is cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).Don't throw away the butter in the bottom of the dish! Pour it over your salmon or rice instead for a simple "sauce".
What to Do with Leftovers
Salmon is always best eaten straight away, but you can also save the leftovers. Just keep in mind the taste and texture will not be quite as good as when it's fresh out of the oven.Storing: Store leftovers in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 3 days.Freezing: Freeze leftovers for up to 3 months.Reheating in microwave: Reheat leftovers in the microwave in 30-second increments.
