As the main creator and owner of alwaysusebutter.com I strive to ensure that our services are accessible to people with disabilities. I have invested a significant amount of resources to help ensure that my website is made easier to use and more accessible for people with disabilities, with the strong belief that every person has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort and independence.
I am continuously improving the accessibility of alwaysusebutter.com for people with disabilities. If you find that I am not meeting your requirements, I really appreciate if you can let me know by sending me a message at email@example.com, as this helps me in this effort.
I will take every reasonable measure to make this page accessible. Please understand that I’m not a big business with employees – it’s just me, a busy girl with a full-time job in addition to this blog, striving to make life a little easier for other busy people by sharing quick and easy recipes here at alwaysusebutter.com. I do my best to work on the accessibility of my website as fast as I can, but I kindly ask that you be a little patient with me.
Accessibility on alwaysusebutter.com
alwaysusebutter.com continues its efforts to constantly improve the accessibility of its site and services in the belief that it is our collective moral obligation to allow seamless, accessible and unhindered use also for those of us with disabilities.
In an ongoing effort to continually improve and remediate accessibility issues, we also regularly scan alwaysusebutter.com to identify and fix every possible accessibility barrier on our site. Despite our efforts to make all pages and content on alwaysusebutter.com fully accessible, some content may not have yet been fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards. This may be a result of not having found or identified the most appropriate technological solution.
Areas for improvement and time line
I am aware of some areas on the website where I must improve accessibility and am currently working to achieve this.
Images: I am aware that a few photos on my website are missing alt-text. I hope to have added this for all the photos in all my posts by August 2020. If you have problems reading the photos please send me a message at firstname.lastname@example.org
Videos: I am working on ensuring that all my videos are fully accessible for everyone. I hope to have improved the accessibility of my videos here on alwaysusebutter.com by December 2020.
Link: I am currently investigating how to best allow users to clearly see my links and to understand when a link will open in a new window, and I will make adjustments to all my links to make them more accessible. I hope to have improved this by December 2020.
Audit: I will be scheduling an audit of alwaysusebutter.com before July 2021 to learn which further areas need to be improved to reach accessibility standards on this website.
