Ingredient notes & substitutions
Frozen chicken cordon bleu - either store bought or homemade
Cooking oil can be skipped, but helps give a good crisp and nice golden brown color. You can also use cooking spray.
Tips & tricks
Preheat the air fryer for best results
Don't defrost the chicken cordon bleu, cook it straight from frozen
Don't overcrowd your air fryer basket - you want their to be some space left around the chicken cordon bleus
Flip them halfway for an even cook
Use a meat thermometer to make sure they are done. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
Adjust cook time depending on the size of the chicken cordon bleus - this can vary a lot! 12 minutes was perfect for this smaller version.
