Make the best & juiciest Air Fryer Turkey Burgers with just a quick prep, a few simple steps and 10 minutes in the air fryer. No chopping required as we use powdered seasonings and extra juicy thanks to a good squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
Place turkey in a bowl with all the seasonings except lemon juice. Mix well, then add lemon juice and mix again.
1 lb ground turkey, ½ teaspoon onion powder, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon fine table salt, ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper, ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Beat the egg, then add it together with the breadcrumbs. Mix until everything is combined. Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes or more.
1 egg, ¼ cup breadcrumbs
Bring out the turkey from the fridge, and preheat the air fryer by running it at 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes.
Divide the turkey into 4 even sized pieces, and roll into 4 balls.
Brush the air fryer basket with oil, then place turkey balls in the air fryer basket. Brush with oil and then use the back of a spatula or spoon to press into ½ inch (1.25 cm) patties. Air fry 10 minutes at 375°F (190°C), then bring out and ensure the burgers have reached an internal temperature of at least 165°F (74°C). If not, add a few more minutes and check again. Repeat until you have cooked all burgers.
Don't overcrowd your air fryer* - the patties should not be touching
If cooking in batches wrap the cooked ones in aluminium foil to keep them warm. You can cook them to a few degrees below done, and they will finish cooking while resting.
Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness - they are done when the internal temperature has reached at least 165°F (74°C)
If you don't have a meat thermometer they are done when you cut into one and the juice runs clear
