Notes
Ingredient notes & substitutions
Frozen Ore Ida fries: I used thin cut fries - but you can also use different types of fries, like curly fries, waffle fries, crinkle cut fries, shoestring fries, steak fries or sweet potato fries. Cook time will depend on how thick they are.
Olive oil is optional, and can be swapped for a different type of vegetable oil or a few spritzes of cooking spray
Salt might not be necessary if you're using already seasoned fries - please check the bag before adding the salt!
Tips & tricks
Preheat your air fryer*for the quickest, most even cook
Don't defrost the fries - cook them straight from frozen
If you're using oil, salt the fries before cooking as the oil will help the salt stick
If you're not using oil, salt the fries after cooking
For the crispiest fries, cook them in a single layer - split them in multiple batches, if needed
You can layer the fries, but they won't come out as crispy and will need a bit more time to cook. Either way, never fill the basket more than halfway!
Shake the fries halfway for best results
Store leftovers in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 4 days - but they best just after frying
