Make the juiciest homemade chicken patties in your air fryer with quick prep, a few easy steps, and 10 minutes of air frying. No chopping required thanks to powdered seasonings - and extra juicy with fresh lemon juice.
I Finished the First Batch Standing Over the Sink
I'm not kidding, the first time I tried this recipe... I ended up finishing almost the whole batch (4 patties!!) standing over the sink. They were just that good!
And it wasn't a fluke. I've made them lots of times after, and every single time they turn out so juicy, flavorful and just plain delicious.
Chicken patties can often turn out dry and boring - but these are anything but. Thank the lemon juice! It adds amazing flavor, as well as a bit of extra juiciness.
What's even better? You don't have to chop a single thing - we use powdered seasonings instead. And they're done from start to finish in 30 minutes, with an option to chill them for 30 as well for even better results.
It's one of those recipes you just need to try to truly understand how great it is.
Nothing to Chop, Just Mix and Cook!
How to Make Them Gluten-Free
To make them gluten-free, use gluten-free breadcrumbs. You should also make sure that your Worcestershire sauce is gluten-free (it is in some countries), and if it's not, just skip it.
How to Make Them in 4 Simple Steps
1. Mix (Almost) Everything Together
No need to make this more complicated than it is: just mix together everything except the oil.
2. Cover & Refrigerate (Optional)
If you've got the time, cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes or more (up to 24 hours). You can cook them straight away, but they won't be as flavorful or keep their shape as well.
3. Make Patties
Bring out the chicken mixture and roll into 4 balls. I like to place them in the air fryer basket this way, then press with a spatula to make patties.
You can also make meatballs, and smaller or larger patties - just adjust the cook time accordingly.
4. Air Fry to Perfection
Air fry 10-12 minutes in a single layer, until they're golden brown and cooked through. A meat thermometer makes it easy to know when that is! They should reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) - and not much more, or they can dry out.
If you don't have a thermometer, you will need to cut into a patty to check. It's done when the juice is clear, and the inside is white.
If you need to cook them in batches, wrap the cooked patties in aluminum foil to keep them warm. You can cook them to a few degrees below done, and they will finish cooking while resting.
What to Do with Leftovers
Storing: Store leftovers in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
Freezing: Store leftovers in the freezer in an airtight container for up to 3 months.
Reheating in the air fryer: Air fry 2-3 minutes at 360°F (180°C), until heated through.
Reheating in microwave: Reheat in 30-second increments, until heated through.
Reheating frozen chicken patties: This is best done in the air fryer. Air fry 16-18 minutes at 360°F (180°C). You can also check out this guide for all my tips.

Victoria
I came back here just to say that these are SO GOOD. I made a double batch to last for lunches through the week and it was so worth it. I was worried they would be dry when reheated but nope, they were perfect. I am going to make them again this week!
