Ingredient notes & substitutions
Olive oil can be swapped for another type of oil
For added flavor you can add different specific seasonings. What seasoning will work well depends on the type of vegetable. Green Beans are amazing with just some sea salt flakes while Cauliflower, Broccoli and Brussels Sprouts really shine with some added seasonings.
Tips & tricks
Mix up the seasonings and find your favorites - matching with the flavors of the rest of your meal is always a safe bet!
Preheat the air fryer for the very best results
Maximize flavor by seasoning halfway - but if you're lazy, like me, it's fine to season them at the beginning as well
Don't defrost the veggies, cook them straight from frozen
Don't overcrowd your air fryer basket - it's fine to have multiple layers, but make sure to leave some room for the air to circulate. And keep in mind that the fuller the basket, the longer it will take.
For well roasted veggies - cook in a single layer
Shake the veggies around halfway for an even cook
Adjust cook time depending on the vegetable - this can vary a lot! From just a few minutes for Green Beans to up to 10 minutes for larger veggies.
