    Air Fryer Frozen Green Beans

    With minimal prep & 4 minutes of cooking you can make the best Air Fryer Frozen Green Beans. Just like steamed they're a great easy side dish for any dinner!

    Green beans is one of my favorite healthy side dishes, but I always thought they were annoying to cook. These days I just throw them in my air fryer and have the perfect side dish on the table in just a few minutes. And now you can too!

    Ingredient notes

    • Olive oil can be swapped for another type of vegetable oil
    • Sea salt flakes can be swapped for table salt or other salt flakes

    How to make them

    1. Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C) and pour the olive oil over the frozen green beans.
    2. Mix the green beans with the olive oil, make sure they're evenly coated
    3. Place the green beans in the preheated air fryer basket and air fry for 2 minutes at 390°F (200°C). Then remove the air fryer basket, shake the beans around a bit, and air fry for 2 more minutes.
    4. Place in a bowl and sprinkle with sea salt flakes. Serve immediately!

    Tips & tricks

    • Preheat the air fryer for best results
    • Don't defrost the green beans, cook them straight from frozen
    • Shake the green beans around halfway for an even cook
    • Cook time can vary with different air fryers
    • Adjust the seasoning depending on your tastes: you can for example add some black pepper, garlic powder or paprika powder
    • Store any leftovers in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 4 days
    • Reheat leftovers in the air fryer for 2 minutes

    Can you air fry from frozen?

    When are green beans done?

    Frozen veggies such as frozen green beans should reach an internal temperature of 165°F (73°C) . If you are unsure if your veggies have reached this temperature, use a kitchen thermometer to check.

    Can I use fresh green beans instead?

    Yes, you can - they will cook in about the same time.

    Ingredients

    • 3 handfuls frozen green beans
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • 1 teaspoon sea salt flakes

    Instructions

    • Preheat the air fryer by running it at 390°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
    • Place the frozen green beans in a bowl and pour over the olive oil. Mix well.
      3 handfuls frozen green beans, 1 Tbsp olive oil
    • Place the green beans in the air fryer basket and air fry for 4 minutes at 390°F (200°C), shaking once halfway.
    • Transfer to a serving plate and sprinkle with slightly crushed sea salt flakes.
