These Air Fryer Baked Potatoes have perfectly crispy skin and fluffy, tender insides, and they're all done in just 50 minutes! Faster than the oven and way easier. No preheating needed, minimal cleanup, and they turn out perfect every single time.

The Only Way I Ever Bake Potatoes
Since the day I got my air fryer, I've never baked a potato any other way. There's just no reason, the air fryer does it quicker, easier and better than any other method.
Seriously, you've never had baked potatoes quite like this before. The skin is perfectly crispy all over thanks to the circulating air in the air fryer, and inside it's just as fluffy as you'd expect.
Just 3 Ingredients

What Type of Potato to Use
Russet potatoes are the classic choice for baking potatoes and they usually end up with the best texture - super crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. But, you can use any potato you have and it will be fine.
How to Cook the Best Baked Potatoes
1. Oil Them Up
Prick the potatoes with a fork 10 times each, then coat them in olive oil and salt.

2. Air Fry
Place in the air fryer basket and air fry 30 minutes. Then flip them and air fry until tender, which should take about 20 minutes more. Use a cake tester or fork to check for doneness!

Top Tips for Best Results
Prick the skin. This will give you the crispiest skin.
Add extra seasonings if you like. You can add garlic powder, paprika powder or your favorite dried herb.
Cook time will vary. It can depend on the exact potatoes you use, their size, the size of your air fryer and what air fryer model you have. Always check to make sure the potatoes are done before serving. You can do this by inserting a cak tester, fork or knife - it should slide in easily without much resistance.

Sandy
I am laughing at this because 50 minutes is not speedy! Not to mention hauling the air fryer out of the pantry and setting it up the pre heating. Why is this so much better? Lol

Hi Sandy! I find it much easier to just pop the potatoes in the air fryer than to heat up my whole oven to make it there. I also don't need any extra dishes or sheet pans to cook it, which I would in the oven. And yes, 50 minutes might not be "super quick" - but it's faster than my oven! If you prefer the oven, then awesome - keep doing that. /Emmeline
