Bake parmesan crusted chicken in your oven for a quick, easy and very tasty dinner. The whole family will love this recipe - it's cheesy, crispy, and perfect for dipping. And all done in under 30 minutes!
Who Doesn't Love Crispy Cheesy Chicken?!
Combine two of my favorites and you get this recipe. Parmesan cheese, maybe the best cheese? And crispy chicken - is there anything better?! I'm sure you're going to love this recipe just as much as I do. I just can't stop eating it!
Just Common Ingredients
Panko breadcrumbs can be swapped for regular breadcrumbs or gluten-free breadcrumbs. They all work equally well, I just prefer the larger panko version.
You can use chicken tenders or chicken thigh filets. I used the latter, and sliced each filet in three pieces. You could use chicken breasts and slice them in smaller pieces as well!
Parmesan cheese is the star of the show. But if you don't have it, you can still make it. Either follow this recipe, or try my baked chicken tender recipe.
Just Bread & Bake
1. Flour
Mix flour with seasonings & dip your chicken pieces in it. Make sure they are well covered, but shake off any excess flour before moving on.
2. Eggs
After the flour, dip the chicken in egg. Same here: make sure they are well covered, but allow any excess to drip off before continuing.
3. Breadcrumbs
Mix breadcrumbs with parmesan cheese, and then dip the chicken in it after the egg. Now here you can go a bit more crazy - it's fine if there's "excess" breading.
4. Bake!
Bake until golden on the top - 10 minutes or so - then flip and bake until cooked through and crispy and golden. Then dip away!
