    Turmeric, lemon, cayenne & apple cider vinegar combine to make this Apple Cider Vinegar Tonic the healthiest mocktail you'll find. So delicious you'll want to sip it all night long, with a grown-up & slightly spicy taste.

    When thinking of mocktails, apple cider vinegar might not be the first thing that comes to mind. But, it's actually a great mocktail ingredient.

    • Lemon needs to be fresh, store-bought juice just won't do
    • Apple cider vinegar should be unprocessed and unfiltered for the healthiest tonic - but you can use other types as well
    • Cayenne pepper can be skipped if you don't want the heat

    1. Add water to a cocktail shaker
    2. Add apple cider vinegar
    3. Squeeze in the juice of the lemon
    4. Add ground turmeric
    5. Add a dash of cayenne pepper
    6. Add an ice cube

    1. Close the lid of the shaker tightly, and shake
    2. Pour tonic into a low-ball glass
    3. Top with soda water
    4. Decorate with a slice of lemon, and serve immediately!

    Tips & tricks

    • If you don't have a cocktail shaker, just mix everything in a glass instead
    • To reduce the heat, skip the cayenne pepper
    • Make ahead by mixing everything together, then give it a mix, pour, and top with soda water just before serving
    • If the turmeric floats to the top just give it a mix with a spoon or straw

    How can I sweeten it?

    If you want to make it sweeter, add 1-2 teaspoons of liquid honey to the shaker with the rest of the ingredients. Shake well.

    Can I drink this warm?

    Yes, this tonic is delicious warm as well. Just heat until just before boiling, then pour into a heat resistant glass or cup.

    Can I store this apple cider vinegar tonic?

    Yes, you can store it in the fridge in an airtight container for at least 1 week.

    Ingredients

    • ¾ cups cold water
    • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
    • ½ lemon juice only
    • ½ teaspoon grund turmeric
    • 1 dash cayenne pepper according to taste
    • 1 ice cube
    • soda water
    • 1 lemon slice optional

    Instructions

    • Add cold water, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, turmeric, cayenne pepper and an ice cube to a shaker. Shake well and pour into a low-ball glass. Top with soda water and decorate with a lemon slice.
