    Ingredient notes & substitutions

    • Hot sauce: I recommend using Frank's RedHot, Cholula, or Louisiana Hot Sauce.
    • Mayonnaise: Store bought is fine, I recommend Hellmann's.
    • Garlic powder: Can be swapped for minced garlic for a more intense garlic flavor. Start with 2 cloves, and add more as needed after taste testing.

    Ingredients

    • 2 teaspoon garlic powder or minced garlic, start with 2 cloves
    • 1 pinch fine table salt
    • ½ cup mayonnaise store bought is fine, Hellmann's is good
    • ¼ cup sour cream
    • 2 tablespoon hot sauce for example Frank's RedHot, Cholula, or Louisiana Hot Sauce; amount according to taste

    Instructions

    • Combine garlic powder and salt in a bowl.
      2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 pinch fine table salt
    • Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Taste test and adjust seasoning if needed, especially adding more hot sauce if you want to make it spicier. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes or more for a deeper flavor.
      ½ cup mayonnaise, ¼ cup sour cream, 2 tablespoon hot sauce
