Why you will love this recipe

    • It's the best way to cook frozen chicken fries
    • Quicker than when cooking them in the oven
    • Less greasy than deep frying
    • Super easy and done in 4 minutes + 5 minutes of preheating

What you need to make them

frozen chicken fries on a white plate.

    Ingredient notes

    • Frozen chicken fries: any brand works! Cook time will vary with the thickness of the chicken fries.
    • No oil needed - but if you want to, you can add a brush of olive oil or a spritz of cooking spray

    How to make them

collage showing how to make frozen chicken fries in air fryer.
    1. Bring out your chicken fries
    2. Place frozen fries in a preheated air fryer basket
    3. Air fry 4 minutes at 400°F (200°C), then serve with ketchup or bbq sauce

    Tips & tricks

    • Preheat the air fryer for best results
    • Don't defrost the chicken fries, cook them straight from frozen
    • Don't overcrowd your air fryer basket - cook in a single layer for the best, crispiest, and fastest result
    • Cook time can vary with different air fryers, your chosen brand, and how many chicken fries you're making at the same time
    • You don't need to flip them, but you can if you find one side is getting more color than the other
    • Don't cook them too long or they will dry out
    • Use a meat thermometer to make sure they are sufficiently heated throughout - the internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C)
    • Store any leftovers in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 4 days
    • Reheat leftovers in the air fryer for 2 minutes
    • Reheat leftovers in the microwave in 30 second increments
