With minimal prep & 18 minutes of cooking you can cook frozen turkey burgers in your air fryer. Juicy on the inside and a little bit crispy on the outside, ready to serve with your favorite toppings, sauces and sides!
The Air Fryer Is a Game Changer for Frozen Food
The air fryer is amazing for cooking up frozen food quickly and with great results. For anything from frozen fish fillets to burgers and spring rolls - the air fryer will be your go-to from now on.
It's the best way to cook frozen turkey burgers (or any frozen burgers!) and the result is a burger that's juicy on the inside and crispy and golden on the outside. It's less greasy than cooking it other ways, and super hands off.
This recipe works with both store bought frozen turkey burgers and homemade versions.
Tips for the Very Best Turkey Burgers
- Do not thaw. The whole point is to cook the burgers straight from frozen! It's faster, and better.
- If the burgers are stuck together: air fry 4-5 minutes to defrost, then separate them and continue cooking.
- Cook time can vary with different air fryers and burgers. Always make sure the internal temperature is at least 165°F (74°C) before consuming.
- If they are almost done but a few degrees away: remove them from the air fryer and wrap them in aluminum foil for 5 minutes. The temperature will keep rising a few degrees while resting.
What to Do with Leftovers
Storing: Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
Freezing: I do not recommend freezing the burgers again after cooking.
Reheating: Reheat leftovers in the air fryer at 360°F (180°C) or lower for a few minutes, until heated through.
