What you need to cook Frozen Turkey Burgers in Air Fryer
Ingredient notes
- Frozen turkey burger patties - store bought or homemade air fryer turkey burgers
- Other types of burgers: you can also cook frozen veggie burgers, frozen or homemade beef burgers and frozen chicken burgers in the air fryer
- Oil can be skipped, but helps keep the burger moist and crisp up the exterior - any neutral kind works, as does non-stick cooking spray
- Seasoning can be added - this is especially good if you're cooking store-bought frozen turkey burgers. Salt, pepper, paprika powder, garlic powder and chili powder are just some options - choose your own favorite seasoning!
How to cook Frozen Turkey Burgers in Air Fryer
- Brush the air fryer * basket with a little oil
- Place the burgers in the air fryer * basket and brush the top with the rest of the oil
- Air fry 9 minutes at 360°F (180°C)
- Flip the burgers and air fry 9 more minutes. Make sure they're heated all the way through, then serve!
Tips & tricks
- No need to preheat since we're cooking from frozen
- If the burgers are stuck together, air fry 4-5 minutes to defrost, then separate them and continue cooking
- Cook time can vary with different air fryers and burgers - always make sure the internal temperature * is at least 165°F (74°C) before serving
- If they are almost done and just a few degrees shy of your target, you can remove them from the air fryer * and wrap in aluminum foil for 5 minutes. The temperature will keep rising a few degrees while resting.

- Lettuce - either on top, or serve the burgers in a lettuce wrap instead of buns
- Sprouts like sunflower sprouts or bean sprouts
- Sliced tomatoes
- Slices of cheese - choose a well-melting kind like American cheddar

- Sliced red onions
- Pickles
- Avocado or guacamole
- A good sauce like ketchup, mustard, BBQ sauce, dijonnaise or chipotle ranch

Storing: store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
Reheating: reheat leftovers in the air fryer * at 360°F (180°C) or lower for a few minutes.
Freezing: Do not freeze again after cooking.
