I love a good smoothie, and lately my go-to has been yogurt based smoothies. Not only are they super creamy - I'm crazy about that pastell color they always get.

Why you will love this recipe

    • It's quick - let's say 5 minutes, including cleaning your blender
    • It's easy - mix the fruit, add yogurt, mix again, and done!
    • Frozen fruit so you can have the ingredients on hand at any time
    • It's healthy with lots of fruit and natural yogurt
    • Banana sweetens - so you don't need to add any sugar
    • Amazing strawberry mango flavor - bringing summer vibes to any season

What you need to make it

    Ingredient notes & substitutions

    • Greek yogurt - I use plain, unsweetened, Greek yogurt but you can use other types as well. Either another type of plain unsweetened yogurt, a plain sweetened yogurt - or even one with strawberry or mango flavor.
    • Banana can be fresh or frozen, but should be ripe for maximum sweetness
    • Frozen strawberries & frozen mango can be switched for fresh versions. If none of the ingredients are frozen you might want to add an ice cube while mixing to keep the smoothie really cold.

    1. Place banana, strawberry and mango in a high powered blender
    2. Mix for 2 minutes, until smooth without any strawberry or mango chunks
    3. Add yogurt and mix again for 30 seconds, until smooth and even in texture
    4. Pour in a tall glass
    5. Top with some strawberry pieces and a straw - serve immediately!

    Tips & tricks

    • Use a really ripe banana for maximum sweetness
    • Make sure the fruits are well mixed before adding yogurt - this is the secret to a seriously creamy and clump-free smoothie
    • Make it vegan by swapping Greek yogurt for water. Start with half a cup and add more as needed to get your desired consistency. Or use a plant based yogurt!
    • Prep ahead with freezer packs - place all ingredients for one smoothie in a plastic bag and freeze. Then when you want to make a smoothie - just take out a bag, let it thaw slightly, and pour all the ingredients in the mixer. Add a splash of milk. water or yogurt to help it blend. These freezer packs are good for up to 3 months.

Hi Gavin! It usually doesn't when mixing the banana + mango, but if both are frozen you might need to add a little bit of water. It also depends on your blender. And then of course the yogurt at the end, to make it super creamy! /Emmeline
