Green beans is one of my favorite healthy side dishes, but I always thought they were annoying to cook. These days I just throw them in my air fryer and have the perfect side dish on the table in just a few minutes. And now you can too!

What you need to make them
Ingredient notes
- Olive oil can be swapped for another type of vegetable oil
- Sea salt flakes can be swapped for table salt or other salt flakes
How to make them
- Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C) and pour the olive oil over the frozen green beans.
- Mix the green beans with the olive oil, make sure they're evenly coated
- Place the green beans in the preheated air fryer basket and air fry for 2 minutes at 390°F (200°C). Then remove the air fryer basket, shake the beans around a bit, and air fry for 2 more minutes.
- Place in a bowl and sprinkle with sea salt flakes. Serve immediately!
Tips & tricks
- Preheat the air fryer for best results
- Don't defrost the green beans, cook them straight from frozen
- Shake the green beans around halfway for an even cook
- Cook time can vary with different air fryers
- Adjust the seasoning depending on your tastes: you can for example add some black pepper, garlic powder or paprika powder
- Store any leftovers in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 4 days
- Reheat leftovers in the air fryer for 2 minutes
