What you need to make it
Ingredient notes
- Pizza type: You can use any kinds of frozen pizza: thin crust, deep dish, mini pizzas or full size pizzas. See guide below for cook times for different types of pizzas.
- Pizza size: Most air fryers won't fit a full-size pizza, in that case I recommend mini pizzas or slicing the pizza. See guide below for cook times for different sizes of pizza.
How to make it
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (180°C) and slice the pizza if necessary to fit in the air fryer basket
- Place a whole pizza, or as many slices as will fit in one layer, in the air fryer basket
- Air fry at 350°F (180°C), and repeat if needed to cook all slices. Serve immediately, on its own - or add one or more healthy sides for pizza
How long do you cook frozen pizza in the air fryer?
Cook time will vary with the type, size, and thickness of your pizza as well as with your specific air fryer. The times outlined below are a good starting point, but always make sure the pizza is cooked to your desired crispness before consuming, and keep an eye on it so it doesn't burn.
If your pizza starts to burn before it's heated all the way through, you can cover it with aluminium foil. I recommend folding the foil in under the pizza to ensure the hot air can not lift it.
Type | Size | Cook time |
Thin crust pizza | Slices | 5-6 minutes |
Mini | 6-8 minutes | |
Regular | 10-15 minutes | |
Thick crust / deep dish pizza | Slices | 6-8 minutes |

Regular | 12-18 minutes | |
French bread pizza | Slices | 6-8 minutes |
Mini | 8-10 minutes | |
Regular | 12-18 minutes |

Yes, you absolutely can. It's the best way to heat a frozen pizza!
It's not necessary to thaw frozen pizza before cooking, but if you're cooking it in the oven it will give you a crispier result.
When cooking it in the air fryer you will still get a crispy pizza when cooking straight from frozen.
The best way to cook a frozen pizza is in the air fryer, as the circulating hot air will cook it perfectly all around and ensure a crispy crust.
